Take me out to the ballgame!

A few weeks ago, we had a day date with Grayson.  We kept him home from school for the day so that we could take him to a Redbirds game!

He has been asking for a couple weeks to have sometime with Mommy and Daddy, and we couldn't think of a better way to spend a gorgeous afternoon!!

It was a 11:05am start, and the weather was perfect.  Grayson was super excited.

 

 

We were able to get great seats from a friend of David's, so Grayson was able to talk to the Redhots (the dance team) and even got a game ball!!



He ate popcorn and a hot dog.  By the 4th inning, though, he was ready to walk around a bit.

So, we said waved to Rocky the Redbird and then walked around the park to the playground.  Along the way, Grayson stopped to say hi to the players in the bullpin and gave one of them a high five.  :)

 

We ate some ice cream before we left (you have to have Dippin' Dots when you're at the ballpark!).
The rest of the afternoon was spent walking around downtown and taking a ride on the trolley.  It was a super fun (and tiring) day!!

 We are going back to the ballpark this weekend so Grayson can see the fireworks!  He is so excited!  :)
