29 weeks and 5 days

How Far Along: 29 weeks (and 5 days!)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I have lost 3lbs! I have started telling people that pregnancy is the best diet I ever tried.  The doctor said that Finnley is doing great, though, so I am okay with having a little belly.  :)
Best Moment this week: The wonderful shower that my wonderful friends and family blessed us with; spending time with Grayson and David

Gender: Girl! Her name is Finnley Elizabeth.
Movement: ALL THE TIME!  She is constantly moving, kicking, and turning somersaults.  It's very obvious when she is moving because my belly moves, too.  She is sitting very low, so I especially feel her in my pelvis--and some days it feels like she is going to fall out!

Food Craving: It really varies from day to day. Some days, I have my heart set on something all day, and then I get it in front of me, and I lose my appetite completely. It has gotten better, though, and I have started being able to eat more each day.  Lately, I have been eating a lot of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, milk, chips, and yogurt.

What I miss: I miss being able to eat without being sick; sleep

Maternity clothes: Yep! Mostly maternity clothes.  She is so low right now that pants are uncomfortable...even maternity pants, but I have a few pairs of maternity jeans that are comfy.  I wear a lot of sweats and t-shirts when I am at home.
Sleep: I am tired all the time. But, that doesn't mean I get much sleep! I have been waking up throughout the night multiple times, each and every night...sometimes I can fall back asleep, sometimes I can't. I can tell when it's 2:00pm every day, though, even when I don't have a clock--that's the time I get the most tired!
What I am looking forward to: hearing her heartbeat at the next doctor's appoitnment, shopping for her, designing her nursery (in our new house!!!)

Belly Button: half-in, half-out

Symptoms: nausea, getting sick, exhaustion, picky eating

House update

Our house is fully bricked and ready to be sheet-rocked!!  :)

Finnley's shower

I didn't get many pictures, other than the gifts that I got, but we celebrated Finnley's upcoming arrival with a BEAUTIFUL shower today.  I am sooo sooo sooo thankful for everyone who was able to come celebrate with us!  She is already one very loved little girl!!!

Happy Halloween!!

Tonight, David and I took Grayson to Zoo Boo.  He was Count Dracula--but the cutest one ever!  :)
Check out the fun we had:

We also went to the Pumpkin Patch earlier in the week!  I love his face in these pictures!!   :)

We hope you all have a very Happy Halloween!  Thanks for checking in on us!  We love you!

Our not-so-little boy

I'm not quite sure when it happened, but our baby isn't a baby anymore.

He is growing like a weed! At the doctor on Monday, he weighed 28.4lbs! Wowza! :) I'm not sure how tall he is in inches, but he comes up to about the half-way point of my thigh. He is also tall enough to pull things off the kitchen counter and table, and can reach the handles of all the doors. We have had to move our dishes off the table because he pulled one off and broke it the other day!

He can follow 2-step directions, and sometimes 3-step. He says all kinds of words: apple, ball, doggie, dada, mama, bye-bye, go, hello, uh-oh; and several animal sounds. He can touch his ear, hair, and nose when you ask him to, and he can match his shapes. He can sign "all-done" and "more," and he will go to the stairs and try to open the gate when we ask him if he's ready for night-night (or if he's sleepy). He has also become quite the cuddle bug in the past couple weeks--he will sit on our laps for hours! :)

He still will eat pretty much anything, but he HATES peas. :) I am okay with that, I guess. After all, my brother and I still call them "little green balls of mushy poison"! Ha! He loves chicken, carrots, pizza, pasta, fruit, and corn...and he will eat whatever we put on his plate. :)

I still haven't gotten used to the fact that he's going to be a big brother in about 2 months. He is going to be one AMAZING big bro, that's for sure!! I can't wait to see him love on Finnley, teach her all kinds of new things, and to see him continue to grow up into an awesome little boy. We love you, G-man!

Another house update

Well, the progress on our dream home is really moving along! As you can see from the pictures, they have started bricking it, and it should be done this week. We had our electrical walk-through last week, during which we went through and decided where all the lighting, light switches, fans, cable boxes, etc. would be placed. You'd think that those decisions would be easy, but it was quite stressful! We are happy with what we chose, though. :)
We decided that we wanted to custom-design our kitchen backsplash, so we went by the tile store earlier this week and did that. Now, the only other decision we have is choosing a chandelier for our master bath! We are hoping they will start sheet rocking the walls by the end of this week or early next week...that's really when its going to seem surreal, I think. With every visit, it seems that more and more is coming together. We are so excited!!! :)

Happy Anniversary!

David and I are celebrating our 2 year anniversary today!  I can't believe it's been 2 years!!
So much has happened, but I wouldn't change a thing.  Happy Anniversary, David!  I love you!

27 weeks

How Far Along: 27 weeks (and 5 days!)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I have lost 3lbs! I have started telling people that pregnancy is the best diet I ever tried.  The doctor said that Finnley is doing great, though, so I am okay with having a little belly.  :)
Best Moment this week: Nothing really pregnancy related was exciting this week.  I got to celebrate baby Avery's nearing arrival with Ashley and friends last weekend; Ashley and Donna are throwing Finnley a shower in 2 weeks; I was able to go over a week without getting sick!!! :)

Our house!

A quick update on our house:

This was taken last week, so it even looks different now than it does here.  We have windows, sealant on the plywood, and roofing material on the roof.  The air conditioning units are in, plumbing is done, and our electrical walk-through is today!

David has tons more pictures on his phone, so I will try to post some more of the inside and bacyard soon.  For now, isn't it exciting?!?!?!?!
