Fun Saturday!

We had a wonderful Saturday!  (I think we had a little too much fun, though, because we are all exhausted tonight!)

Anyway, Grayson and I headed south this morning to spend some time with my brother, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew!  :)  Becky's friend, Chris, was also in town, and it was so much fun to catch up with her!  I haven't seen her since Jason and Becky's wedding...Chris is getting married in about 6 weeks.  I know she is going to make a BEAUTIFUL bride!  So, we hung out for a bit at the Planks' house, and then the girls (and Grayson) went to a consignment sale.  We ended up getting some really good deals!

I got this for $10!

David's favorite purchase of the day: a UT football uniform!  :)

I also got a bunch of other clothes for Grayson, and some other great toys, and I spent a total of $83!  Not too bad for all that I got!

After the sale, Grayson and I headed back north to run a few errands at the mall.  UGH...I HATE the mall on a Saturday.  But, it had to be done, and I got some great bargains!

Then, this afternoon, we took a family outing to the Memphis Zoo!  David and I bought a family membership, and this was our first time using it....we are sooooo happy we got the membership!  The zoo is very special to us, since that is where we got married, and this was my first time getting to see Teton Trek (where we had our ceremony and reception) since the day of the wedding!

We had so much fun!  And, it was great because we got there around 4:00pm...so it wasn't too hot, and the crowds were pretty much already gone.  What a fun day!

Stay tuned for another fun day tomorrow...

Thanks for checking in on us!  We love you all!

Gratitude Journal

I have decided that I focus entirely too much on the negative things, so I am going to start keeping a gratitude journal listing all the things that I am thankful for in my life.  I plan on posting some of the items here from time to time, so be on the lookout.  I am definitely excited to see the changes that will come once I start focusing on the positive!  :)

Hoppy Easter! :)

Our family is praying that each of you have a blessed Easter season!

Luke 24:1-12
(1) But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. (2) And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, (3) but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. (4) While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. (5) And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? (6) He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, (7) that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.” (8) And they remembered his words, (9) and returning from the tomb they told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. (10) Now it was Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles, (11) but these words seemed to them an idle tale, and they did not believe them. (12) But Peter rose and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths by themselves; and he went home marveling at what had happened.

Amen.

Spring Pictures!

Our wonderful friends, Justin and Ashley, took some pictures of Grayson (and David and I) a few weeks ago.  We just LOVE how they turned out!

Our little sock monkey.

One of my favorites. What a face!  :)

This cracks me up.  This is a very good representation of our silly family!  :)

Kisses from my boy.
