16 months!

Yes, that's right!  Little G-man is 16 months old!  :)
Some highlights from this month:
  • He now has 14 teeth!  WOW!
  • He wears size 6 shoes, size 6 diapers, 18-24 month clothes, and toddler size hats.  Big boy!!
  • He is talking alllllllll the time.  He will repeat pretty much anything we say.  And, this month, he has started saying "I love you" so clearly and independently!  It's the sweetest thing in the world.  He can name people (Mama, Dada, BooBoo, PapPap), and he loves to yell at the dogs.  It's really cute.  :)
  • He can beat box!!!  I am going to try to get it on video...it is just the cutest thing.  Whenever David starts, Grayson does it, too.  :)
  • We are starting to work on him eating with a spoon/fork.  He usually does pretty well, but sometimes the food falls off and then he will just give up and eat with his hands.  He gets bigger bites that way anyway.  HA!
  • He loves to watch football.  Any time any football game comes on TV, he will stop what he's doing, look at the TV, and yell "football"!!!  He also has learned when a team scores a touchdown.  He will clap his hands, yell, and make the touchdown sign.  :) He also loves to watch Wheel of Fortune.
  • He follows directions so well, and it is amazing how many new things he has learned to do.  He is such a big helper around the house!  He will help me put clothes in the washer and dryer, will take things to the trashcan, wipes his own nose, takes his cup to the kitchen, and loves to walk from place to place without holding Mommy or Daddy's hand.
  • We are very close to potty-training, I think.  He has started lifting up his shirt and pointing to his diaper when he needs a change.  And, if we ask him if he needs a diaper change, and he does, he will nod his head.  I am not going to push potty-trainging quite yet, but I am glad that he is starting to understand.  (It will be soooo much easier to not have 2 kids in diapers at the same time!)
  • He loves to go out to the new house and look around.  He points and yells when we come around the corner and see it, AND, he has already learned which room is which!  We can tell him to "go to Grayson's room" or "go to Mommy and Daddy's room" and he does.  Also, the other day, he independently walked to the stairs, pointed, and ran to his playroom!  Smart boy!  :)
It is hard to believe that, by the time Grayson is 17 months old, he will be a big brother!!  I just know he is going to teach her so much!  The past 16 months have been awesome, and each day just gets better and better.  We can't wait to see what is in store for the next month!!!  :)
